If the cover angle is not at 90° angle at fully
open position, the following steps can be used to
adjust the angle.

COVER ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
Two technicians are recommended for the
following procedure.
NOTE
This procedure requires that the cover is
held in full open position at all times.

If bolts on Assy. Channel Ball Stud Bracket
are not accessible, use steps 1b thru 3b.
Steps 1a thru 3a must be done on both left
and right side assembly.
1b. While the cover is in full open position, use
a small fl at head screwdriver to slightly pry
on the back of the gas spring end to release
the gas spring from the Assy. Channel Ball
Stud Bracket (C1) (Figure 9.2).
2b. Swing the gas spring (F) out of the way
(Figure 9.2).
3b. Follow steps 1a thru 3a on this page to
adjust the fully open position angle of your
cover (Figure 9.1).
1a. Find the two bolts that hold the Assy.
Channel Ball Stud Bracket (C1) and loosen
the two bolts located using a 7/16” wrench
(Figure 9.1).
2a. When the bolts are loose, move the bracket
down or up until a 90° angle is reached
between fully open cover and spa bar top.
3a. Once Assy. Channel Ball Stud Bracket (C1)
is set to desired position, tighten the two
bolts (Figure 9.1).
