INSTALLATION
WJ-8711A DIGITAL HF RECEIVER
2-2
CAUTION
Do not use screws longer than 5/16 inch in slide mounting
holes of the WJ-8711A. Damage may result to the unit.
Each of the Type 110QD-16-2 chassis slides are comprised of two functional pieces: a chassis
section for mounting to the unit and a cabinet section for mounting to the equipment rack. Three 10-32 X 5/16
pan head screws are used to install each chassis section to a side panel of the unit. After both chassis sections
have been securely tightened to the unit, cabinet sections are to be installed within the equipment rack. The
WJ-8711A occupies 5.25 inches of vertical rack space (eight bracket holes). Four of the holes are used to
secure the cabinet section of the slide to the equipment rack. Two outer holes are used to secure the unit's
front panel to the equipment rack. Slide locks permit quick disconnect of the chassis section of the slides from
the cabinet sections for equipment removal. A #10 threaded grounding stud is located on the rear panel for
grounding the receiver in the equipment rack. See
