Input/output signal connectors
C-25
Making signal connections
Requirement:
To meet the regulatory requirements of immunity from
external electrical disturbances, install connection covers over the signal
connectors.
Mass spectrometer signal connections
Signal connections
Description
Analog (Out)
Used for analog chart output functionality. The
output voltage range is 0 to 2 V. The resolution of
the voltage output is 12 bits.
Gas Fail Interlock
(Out)
Used to stop the solvent flow if the nitrogen gas
supply fails. Maximum 30 V, 0.5 A, 10 W.
Event (Out)
Allows the mass spectrometer to trigger an external
event.
Event (In)
Allows an external device to start data acquisition.
Maximum 30 V.
CE Interlock
Interfaces with a capillary electrophoresis power
supply so that the instrument is safely interlocked
against high voltages.
