Emergency shutdown of the mass spectrometer
To shut down the mass spectrometer in an emergency:
1. Switch off the power at the electrical outlet.
Result:
The instrument turns off and vents.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the instrument’s rear panel.
Warning:
To isolate the instrument from the electrical supply,
disconnect the power cable from the instrument’s rear panel.
Caution:
Data can be lost during an emergency shutdown.
