3. Connect one end of the shielded, crossover, network cable to the lower of
the two Ethernet ports on the EPC.
4. Connect the free end of the shielded, crossover, network cable to the
ADC Ethernet port on the instrument.
To connect the EPC to the power source:
1. Select the appropriate power cord for your location.
2. Connect the female end of the power cord to the power port on the rear
panel of the EPC.
Connecting the workstation (systems with no ACQUITY LC)
Before connecting the workstation to the instrument, set up the workstation
according to its accompanying instructions. Locate the workstation within
3 meters (10 feet) of the EPC.
Requirement:
Use shielded network cables with the mass spectrometer to
ensure compliance with FCC limits.
To connect the workstation:
1. Connect the monitor to the workstation PC.
2. Connect the one end of the shielded, crossover, network cable to the port
labeled instrument LAN on the workstation rear panel.
3. Connect the free end of the shielded, crossover, network cable to the
higher of the two Ethernet ports on the rear panel of the EPC.
To connect the workstation to the power source:
1. Select the appropriate power cord for your location.
2. Connect the female end of the power cord to the power port on the rear
panel of the workstation.
Caution:
Do not connect the EPC’s power supply cord until you complete
the installation procedures in the previous sections.
