4. Unfasten the source enclosure door’s securing clips, and open the door.
5. Use methanol or isopropyl alcohol, applied to the lint-free cloth, to
carefully clean the lamp window.
6. If no corona pin is fitted, use the needle-nose pliers to remove the
blanking plug from the corona pin mounting contact.
Tip:
Store the blanking plug in a safe location.
7. If the APCI corona pin is fitted, use the needle-nose pliers to remove the
pin.

Store the APCI corona pin in a safe location.

biohazardous materials, always wear chemical-resistant,
powder-free gloves at all times while handling the
components.

To avoid electric shock, ensure that the instrument is
in standby while working with the instrument’s front access door
open.

with the instrument’s front access door open. The probe and
source may be hot.
