Replacing the valve cartridge
Note:
This procedure is only applicable to CM-30S module installed in a UPC
2
system.
Before beginning the replacement procedure, ensure that you have the correct
part for your system type.
Required materials
• Gloves: clean, powder-free, chemical-resistant
• Valve cartridge
• 1/4-inch open-end wrench
• 2-mm Allen wrench (startup kit)
To replace the CM-30S valve cartridge:
1. Stop any running mobile phase before replacing the CM-30S valve
cartridge.
2. In the instrument console, select Column Manager from the system tree.
3. In the column manager information window, click Interactive Display.
4. In the column manager interactive display dialog box, click Control.
5. Ensure the switching-valve is set to Waste.
Tip:
To change the setting to Waste, click System and select Waste.
Warning:
To avoid the harmful effects of personal contact with solvents,
including inhalation, observe Good Laboratory Practice when you
handle them. See the Material Safety Data Sheets for the solvents you
use.
Notice:
To prevent contaminating system components, wear clean,
chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves when replacing the CM-30S
valve cartridge.
