Replacing the ion block source heater
Replace the ion block source heater if it fails to heat when the instrument is
pumped down (evacuated).
Required materials:
•
Chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
•
Needle-nose pliers
•
1.5-mm and 2.5-mm Allen wrenches
To replace the ion block source heater
1. Remove the ion block assembly from the instrument (see

The capillary and ferrule can be contaminated
with biohazardous and/or toxic materials. Ensure that they
are correctly disposed of according to local environmental
regulations.
