Setting up the Detector
8. Ensure that the siphon waste tube is routed to a collection bottle in such
a way that condensed solvent can flow freely from the condenser and the
end of the tube is not immersed in the collected liquid.
Connecting the drip tray
The detector uses a drip tray underneath the nebulizer on the front panel to
direct solvent to the front of the unit in the event of a leak.
Required materials

Tubing (not supplied)

Sharp knife (not supplied)
To connect the drip tray
1. Cut a length of tubing sufficient to reach between the drip tray and the
waste container.
2. Connect the tubing to the white plastic fitting located under the
nebulizer on the front of the detector.

3. Insert the other end of the tubing into the waste container.
Warning:
To avoid flooding the detector, ensure the siphon drain
tubing is not kinked or submerged in the collection bottle.
