2-12 Setting up the Detector
To connect to the electricity source
Recommendation:
Use a line conditioner or an uninterruptible power supply
(UPS) for optimum long-term input voltage stability.
1. Place the On/Off switch in the Off position.
2. Connect the female end of the power cord to the receptacle on the rear
panel of the detector.
3. Connect the male end of the power cord to a suitable wall outlet.
4. Do not turn the detector on at this time.
Installing the nebulizer assembly
Waters offers two nebulizers for the 2424 ELS detector: a low-flow (for flow
rates from 50 to 500 μ L/min) and a high-flow (for flow rates from 300 to
3000 μ L/min). The high-flow nebulizer is provided as standard equipment.
To install the nebulizer assembly
1. Remove the nebulizer assembly from the shipping container.
2. Slide the packing ring onto the assembly.
3. Remove the protective cap from the assembly.
4. Remove the protective cap from the end of the nebulizer tube.
