GGA is an NMEA data set for transmitting position data. The data set is only received by
the
Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200
.
The data set contains the following information:

Latitude
Indicator of the latitude (N/S)
Longitude
Indicator of the longitude (E/W)
Indicator for the quality of the GPS signal
Indicators 1 to 8 are regarded as "valid". Indicator 0 is regarded as "invalid".

0 = Position not available or invalid
•
1 = GPS SPS mode
•
2 = Differential GPS, SPS mode
•
3 = GPS PPC mode
•
4 = Real-time kinematics
•
5 = Float RTK
•
6 = Dead reckoning mode
•
7 = Manual input mode

8 = Simulator mode
