Connect devices
The interfaces to the back of the device are used to connect the devices
electrically. The number and arrangement of the interfaces depend on the design
(note the information in the "Technical Data" chapter).
The RS232 interface is used to program and diagnose the devices. Various
software tools can be used for modem operation, remote maintenance, etc.
The RS485 interface is used as a communication interface to other devices.
The CAN interface with electrical isolation is used as a communication interface
to other CAN devices. The CANopen / slave and customer custom protocols can
be used.
The Ethernet interface is used for connection to a LAN.
The USB master interfaces are used for connecting to a keyboard, mouse or USB
stick. Because there are a large number of USB devices on the market, no
guarantee can be made about the function of individual devices.
The devices are equipped with Flash memory slot on the side. Depending on the
device, CF, SD or MicroSD cards are supported. Information on supported
memory cards is available from WAGO.
