2.1.1.2 Description 

The digital input 750-425 receives control signals from NAMUR proximity 
sensors (acc. to DIN 19234 and DIN 50227) from the field side. 

The module is a 2-conductor device and has two input channels. Two 
2-conductor proximity sensors may be directly connected to signal input DI 1 
and Uv1 or signal input DI 2 and Uv2. Each sensor can be supplied separately 
over the outputs U

1 and U

V

2 with a short circuit proof 8.2 V voltage. 

Each input module has an RC noise rejection filter with a time constant of 
3.0 ms. 

The status of the input channels is indicated via status LEDs. In addition, a red 
error-LED will show if there are any short circuit to ground or a line break in 
either channel. 

In case of a short circuit or a line break one error bit (bit 2 or bit 3) is assigned 
to every channel in the input data process image. By means of this bit the 
supervisory control can detect the error. 
After the error has been eliminated, the error bit in the input process image is 
reset and the error LED goes out.
