Special Features of the Different Operating Modes
3.3.1
Up/Down Counter / 100 kHz
In this operating mode, the I/O module processes count pulses at the input
“CLOCK.”
The counting takes place edge-controlled; e.g., the counter status is incremented
or decremented when the CLOCK signal changes from 0 to 24 V.
When the “U/D” input is switched with +24 V, the counting direction is upward.
When the input is not switched or is 0 V, the counting direction is downward.
3.3.2
Up Counter / Enable Input
In this operating mode, the I/O module also processes count pulses at the input
“CLOCK.” The counting takes place edge-controlled; e.g., the counter status is
incremented when the CLOCK signal changes from 0 to 24 V.
The counting is disabled when the input “U/D” is open or 0 V is present.
Counting is enabled with +24 V at the input “U/D.”
The control byte sets or resets the counter.
3.3.3
Peak Time Counter
In this operating mode, the count pulses at the input “CLOCK” are recorded over
a pre-set period of 10 seconds (peak time).
