The I/O module has 2 input channels, providing a direct connection to 2-, 3- or 4-
wire sensors.
The sensors are connected to the following CAGE CLAMP
®
connectors: DI 1,
220 V, 0 V and ground, or DI 2, 220 V, 0 V and ground.

Only connect to I/O modules with the same field power supply!
The I/O module 750-407/040-000 requires a field supply not equal to 24 VDC.
Therefore, this I/O module 750-407/040-000 shall only be connected to modules
having the same field power supply.
If using an adjacent I/O module designed for another field power supply, place an
appropriate supply module between this adjacent module and the I/O module
750-407/040-000.
Failure to observe these instructions may result in damage to properties or
injuries to people.

Use a 750-612/040-000 power supply!
For 220 VDC power on the field level, an additional 750-612/040-000 supply
module must be positioned before a terminal block 750-407/040-000 or before
I/O modules 750-407/040-000 arranged in blocks!
The I/O module receives the 220 VDC potential and the 0 V potential for the field
level from an upstream I/O module via the power contacts used as blade
contacts. It then provides this potential to subsequent I/O modules via the power
contacts used as spring contacts.
