3.3
Performing a color change
During a color change all parts carrying powder in the entire coating system
must
be
thoroughly
cleaned of powder residue. In the following only the procedure for the powder
spray gun is described.
•
Flush the gun manually and remove all powder residues.
•
Switch off the powder feed and secure against inadvertent switching on.

Disconnect the hose for powder feed

from the spray gun

and place it on the powder
hose take-up

•
Blow the spray gun out with compressed air.
•
Pull the deflector cone

off the charging body

•
Unscrew the outer nut

from the spray gun housing

•
Carefully pull the nozzle body

and the charging body

out of the powder tube

Caution
When pulling out and inserting the parts, ensure that the charging body is not
damaged!
•
Remove powder residue from the parts removed and the spray gun.
•
Carefully refit the charging body 4 and the nozzle body 3 in the spray gun housing B and
tighten using the outer nut

Slide the deflector cone

Take the hose

for the new color from hose take-up

and connect it to the spray gun

The spray gun is ready for use again.
