Connecting the cooler
➤
Place the cooler on a firm base.
Ensure that the ventilation slots are at least 10 cm away from the wall so
that the heat that arises during operation can be drawn off.

Caution – risk of damage
Only operate the cooler on a single power source. Never connect it
to a 12 V on-board supply and a 220–240 V AC mains supply
simultaneously.

Connecting to 220 V – 240 V

Caution
Check that the voltage specification on the type plate is the same
as that of the power supply.

Plug the earthed plug into a properly installed safety plug socket.

Isolate the bare end of the unused 12 V cable (fig.
1
2, page 3).
6.2
Connecting to 12 V

Caution
Only select 12 V DC operation (battery mode) if you are using a
battery monitor or if the alternator in your vehicle provides sufficient
voltage.

Note
Disconnect the cooler from the battery when the engine is not
running as otherwise it will run down.
Note the following, to ensure that the cooler has a suitable power supply:
z
The battery must be in good condition.
z
The electrical wires in the vehicle must have a cross section of at least
1.5 mm².
z
All wires must be securely fastened along their entire length.
