Prior to starting the machine

Checks before startup
Before you start the engine, check the following:
Fuel level.
Motor oil level.
Air cleaner.
Water separator
Fuel lines for leaks.
External screw connections for tightness.

Starting up

Starting the engine with recoil starter
Note:
Do not start the engine until you are sure that it is vertically stable.
1. Put throttle lever in the full throttle position.
2. Slowly pull out the recoil starter until you feel compression.
3. Let the cable rewind from this compression point.
4. Start now by gradually accelerating the engine via the cable (not in a jerking
manner as with gasoline engines). Use the entire length of the cable.
