Overcast the edges of the fabric by using
Feather stitch 38

We recommend the “Feather stitch” Sewing Program 38 for chaining-
off and serging.
W6 Tip
If skipped stitches arise when sewing elastic stitches such as fleece, jersey
or felt, etc. then you used the incorrect needle. If a Size 90 Super-Stretch
needle is used, there should be no more skipped stitches. Please change
the needle regularly.

Straight-line sewing is used in the following applications, for example:

Pillow cases

Top stitching seams on jackets or trousers
