Before disassembling the PowerVat, make sure to remove any resin residues in the
vat. Despite careful cleaning, small amounts of 3D printing material can be found
in the gap between the upper part
[3]
and lower part
[1]
of the vat. For this reason,
the use of isopropanol-resistant rubber gloves (e.g. nitrile gloves) during the whole
disassembly process of the PowerVat is strongly recommended.
A clean working environment is important. It is recommended to use a suitable
pad (cardboard, wooden table, etc.) to avoid scratches on the vat parts.
[Step A] Removing the Top Part
Loosen the 8 screws
[9]
and
[10]
on the bottom side of the vat with the enclosed
Torx wrench TX20. The PowerVat top part
[3]
can now be removed and cleaned.
Use an isopropanol-soaked paper towel to carefully remove any remnants of
material that are in the area around the O-ring sealing cord. Material residues can
also be found on the film
[6]
clamped in the bottom part
[3]
. These should be
removed with an isopropanol-soaked paper towel.
