Using the Security menu
On the Security menu, you can configure the phone lock feature, and enable or disable the
Web server. The Web server setting determines whether the embedded WebUI is available
from the phone. When the Web server is disabled, the phone can be configured using the
phone menus or via provisioning only.
The Phone Lock feature restricts certain hard keys and features unless the user enters a
PIN code. There are three escalating modes of lockout:
Restricted Config
only locks out the menu and voicemail.
When Restricted Config is enabled, the following keys/features are restricted:
MENU
key
Settings soft key
Messages soft key
Messages PFK
Restricted Call
locks out all advanced calling features, including transfer,
conference and hold, via hard keys, soft keys and PFKs. The phone operates only
in single call, single account mode.
When Restricted Call is enabled, the following keys and features are restricted in
addition to those restricted as part of Restricted Config:

Emergency numbers must match the Emergency Dial Plan, as configured under
“General Account Settings” on page 47
Incoming calls are still allowed for all modes.
