This additional handset has been designed to operate with the DS84/DS84R-2 telephone system. Please refer to
your DS84/DS84R-2 user’s manual for instructions on general functionality.

The position in which you place the DS84R-2 charger could have an effect on the range and performance of your
DS84R-2.

Plug the mains power cable into the charger base, plug the other end into the mains power wall socket and switch
the power on.
NOTE
Ensure the power cord is fed through the slot on the charger so the unit sits flush with the desk.
2. To fit the NiMH battery into the handset, slide open the battery compartment cover. Place the supplied
rechargeable battery in the battery compartment, with the battery connector plugged in, as shown. Slide the
battery compartment cover back on until it clicks into place.

3. Place the handset on the charger to charge for at least 6 hours. The Charging LED lighting up indicates that the
handset is properly placed on the charger.
