The minimum mounting distance from the bottom of the dryer to a reflective surface is
18” (46cm). When installing several dryers on the same wall a minimum space of 24” or
(61cm) should be respected between each dryer.
3. Use the tamper proof key supplied to turn the cover mounting vandal proof screws
counter-clockwise to remove the dryer cover.
4. Using the mounting template supplied, mark locations for the 4 mounting bolt holes on
the wall.

With the breaker or fuse protection in the OFF position, feed the No.12 AWG wire or
larger through the knock out hole in the base plate and fasten to the wall using the
bolts recommended in Table 3. ( Fastening screws and bolts not supplied)
6. Connect the dryer to its own dedicated circuit in the nearest suitable distribution
panel.

Replace cover, use the tamper proof key supplied to turn the cover mounting vandal
proof screws clockwise making certain not to over-tighten.

8. Wi-Fi CONNECTING INSTRUCTIONS
The optional Wi-Fi module is located on the inner left top of
the circuit board.
HOW TO CONNECT VORTEX HAND DRYER DEVICE WITH A
WI-FI ROUTER
We suggest an independent router for the exclusive use of
the hand dryers, this will eliminate all possible interference
with other users.
Step 1
: Power on ---Initialize module ---Red Light On.

Turn On Wi-Fi ---Scan for Access point -
“Dryer_xxxxxxxxxxxx”.
Step 3:
Select and enter Password “12345678” and
Connect.

Open Web Browser and type “192.168.0.1” or
“www.wificonfig.com” URL. The screen
illustrated in
image 3
will be visible on the
Browser.
Step 5:
Note down MAC Address of Devise. It will be
required for Wi-Fi module registration. Please go
to www.vortexdryers.com and follow instructions
under Wi-Fi module and Diamond Warranty
registration.
Step 6
: Enter Password of local Router to which you want
to connect.
