1 To prevent the propeller from turning, place a block

of clean, soft wood between the propeller and the
cavitation plate.

NOTICE!

If removing aluminum propellers, be careful

to not bend the blades. Proceed slowly and stop if the
blades are bending.

2 Remove the rear propeller nut.

Remove the rear propeller.

3 Use tool 3862797 and ratchet to remove the front

propeller nut.
Remove the front propeller.

NOTICE!

If the propeller is stuck to the shaft, lightly tap

the forward edge of the propeller blades with a non-
metallic hammer. If the propeller will not move, contact
your dealer.

4 Clean the propeller shafts.

If reinstalling the propellers clean the hub splines.
Inspect for fishing line or other debris. Remove if
present.
