On some vehicles, the engine speed
(rpm) may be automatically limited to the
engine speed shown on the instrument
cluster display to help prevent the engine
from overheating.
Once the engine is no longer at a critical
temperature and you have briefly taken
your foot off the accelerator, the engine
speed limit is increased.
If the engine speed is limited due to a
malfunction in the engine management
system, the
indicator light also lights
up. Have the engine checked

that the engine speed does not exceed
