7-3. Bimetal

There are two bimetal inside of the projector to detect the lamp temperature rising abnormally.
When the lamp1 temperature reaches near 110

C or lamp2 temperature reaches near 130

the bimetal opens to stop the operation of the power supply circuit.
The bimetal will automatically return to normal condition, when the lamp temperature becomes
normal (about lamp1=85

C, lamp2=105

C).
