Sharpening the blade
Always keep the file or blade sharpener at a 45° angle
from the blade and always sharpen toward the cutting
edge.
Files sharpen in one direction only; lift the file from the
blade and return to start a new pass through.
▪
Remove all debris from the edge of the blade with a
soft stone;
▪
Remove as little blade material as possible;
▪
Before reinstalling the blade, remove fillings and
apply grease;
▪
Do not attempt to sharpen a damaged blade: replace
it or return it to your dealer.
