Let the engine warm at idle
speed for a few seconds before
start operating the tool.
4.2 - EnGInE STOP (fIG. L)
1. Release the throttle trigger (30) and
set the “ON/OFF” switch (28) to the
position (0);
In case of imminent danger or
emergency, stop the engine
immediately. Set the “ON/OFF” switch
to the “0” position;
4.3 - OPERATInG THE
MACHInE (fIG. M)
After starting, the engine is running at
idle speed.
To set both engine and cutting
accessories rotation speed, use the
throttle lever (30).
To start the cutting accessories:
1. Press the locking lever (29) and
the throttle lever simultaneously. The
locking lever avoids an accidental
startup of the accelerator;
2. With the throttle lever fully pressed,
the engine reached its maximum speed;
3. To stop the cutting accessories,
release the throttle lever;
Adjust the rotating speed
according to the work to be
performed. Remember that higher the
speed, the bigger the noise and the
greater the fuel consumption.
4.4 - USInG THE CUTTInG
DISCS (fIG. n)
To perform cutting works with this
machine it is possible to use two types
of discs: grass cutting discs and bush
cutting discs. Grass discs shall not be
used in bush cutting.
Grass cutting discs (31):
. This type of discs is used to cut all
types of tall and rough grass;
. The grass is cut in a pendular
movement (as using a scythe), where
the movement right to left is to cut, and
left to right is the returning movement.
Avoid the previous cut material during
the returning movement;
. If the disc is leaned to the left when
cutting, the grass will accumulate in a
line, which makes it easier to catch;
. Let the support base slightly touch the
ground. It is used to protect the disc
from touching the ground;
Bush cutting disc (32):
. A bush cutting disc is used to cut/
shred bush, shrubs or wild vegetation
with a maximum diameter of 12mm;
. When cutting bush or shrubs, bring
the disc closer to the ground (as cutting
with a sickle) and cut throughout the
base;
. To cut wild vegetation, the thinning/
shredding must be performed from up
to bottom in layers, keeping the disc
at a level lower than the user’s waist.
However, when bigger the distance
between the disc and the ground,
bigger the risk of particles projection.
For this reason, the user shall have
extra attention when performing this
way;
. Always operate in full speed to prevent
the accumulation of cut material on the
disc head;
. Avoid contact of the disc with
stationary objects (rocks, stones, tree
trunks). Otherwise, the device may
be thrown abruptly in the opposite
direction to the rotation of the disc. This
is the impulse of the disc. An impulse of
the disc can be violent and cause the
loss of control;
The impulse of the disc may occur
without notice. The probability of
occurrence is greater in work areas
where it is difficult to see the material
to be cut.
The impulse of the disc can also occur
if you try to cut small trees, shrubs
or bush with a diameter greater
than the size recommended by the
manufacturer.
Whenever the disc is not in use
or during transport, install the
disc’s protection.
4.5 - USInG THE nYLOn
CUTTInG-LInE HEAD (fIG. O)
The cutting head with nylon line is
used to cut herbs and fine grass.
Make sure that the nylon line is still
firm and evenly wound in the reel;
otherwise, the device will produce
harmful vibrations.
Only use cutting heads and nylon
lines that have the characteristics and
dimensions recommended by the
manufacturer.
Never use wires or ropes
instead of nylon. Otherwise,
accidents and injuries may occur.
The length of the nylon line is also
important. A longer line requires more
engine power than a shorter line of the
same diameter.
Make sure that the blade (33) fixed in
the cutting accessories protection is
still intact is sharpened. The blade is
used to cut the nylon line to maintain
the correct length.
When the nylon line is worn or breaks:
1. Place the cutting head (2) on the
floor and press the spring into the
interior to allow the nylon line to slide
out;
2. The length of the nylon line (1) is
defined by the maximum length allowed
