OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installing batteries
• Open the battery compart-
ment lid and insert two1,5 V
(UM1) batteries, following
the polarity.
• Close the battery compart-
ment lid.
Note:
Do not use new and old or
batteries of different types
together.
If the operation of the unit is
unstable, check the batter-
ies and replace them if nec-
essary.
Remove the battery, if you
are not going to use the unit
for a long time.
1. Before connection of the
unit, check, whether the
electricity supply in your
home sockets corresponds
to the voltage specified on
the housing of the unit.
2. Insert the plug into the sock-
et; the battery supply will be
cut.
3. Switch on the unit, by rotat-
ing the VOL control down-
wards till the click.
4. Use the band switch to se-
lect the desired band.
5. Use the TUNING control to
tune to the desired station.
6. Use the VOL control to set
the required volume level.
Note:
You can use the tone control:
while listening to the news,
set the control to the LOW
position, while listening to
music – to the HI position.
For better reception of FM or
SW stations, fully extend the
antenna and direct it at the
required angle. For recep-
tion of MW stations the unit
is equipped with a built-in an-
tenna, for better reception
of MW stations, try different
variants of the unit location.
