Operation

After unpacking, check if it contains all parts in accordance with the list of elements set out
above.

Ensure  that  all  components  have  no  visible  damage.  If  any  doubts,  please  contact  the
manufacturer.

The mattress should be placed on the bed in such a way that the pump is located on the side
with a patient's feet.

Check if the switch-key is in the “0” zero position.

Connect the pump to electricity.

Connect the pipes to the pump – insert them into the air outlet located on the pump side and on
the mattress.

Place  the  pump  on  hard  surface  or  hang  it  on  hinges.  The  place  where  the  pump  will  stand
must be clean and dry. Dust, hair or other impurity may block the filter.

Please, check if the pipes are not folded or pressed.

Switch on the pump – set switch-key in 1 position.

Set  the  pressure  regulator  on  maximum.  It  will  shorten  the  time  of  pumping  which  usually
takes 20-30 minutes.

After  inflating  the  mattress,  you  should  choose  the  pressure  according  to  the  doctor’s
recommendation.

Then place the cover included in the pockege of the antibedsore mattress using nep and velcro
(Illustration 7).

Mattress lapels

Sheet should be placed on the cover.

Now the patient can lay on the mattress. The patient should be placed always on mattress fully
inflated, otherwise the pump may fully inflate it afterwards.

In  order  to  receive  exact  instructions  concerning  an  appropriate  use  and  optimal  pressure,  please,
consult your doctor. The mattress and pump create effect of “constant movement” (changing position
of  body  support  points),  provide  constant  muscle  massage  and  improve  blood  circulation. Thus,  the
mattress is an effective tool to prevent bedsores. But the position of the patient on the mattress needs
to be changed despite of using it.

The mattress must be on all times.

Switching off

Set the switch-key into the 0 position.

Disconnect the pipes from the air outlet in order to prevent air from escaping.
