To disable the optional Failsafe

Starter Kill,turn the ignition to
the ON position. Press and release
the Valet switch one time within
10 seconds. The status LED will
stop flashing and the vehicle
should start. If the vehicle does
not start, you may have waited
too long; turn the ignition off and
repeat the process.

This system is designed to work similar to some factory keyless
entry systems and will not sound the horn when Locking/
Unlocking. The horn will honk when pressing the
AUX
AUX
button on
the remote twice (for lock only) or you can temporarily turn on
the arm or disarm horn honk(s) by simply pressing
AUX
AUX
for less
than one second before locking or unlocking, and the confirmation
honk(s) will be present for that one op er a tion only.
valet mode
You can prevent your system from au to mat i cal ly ac ti vat ing the
Failsafe
®
Starter Kill (optional, not included) and lock ing the doors
by using Valet
®
Mode. This is very use ful when washing the vehicle
or having it serviced. In Valet
®
Mode, the starter kill cannot be
activated, even with the trans mit ter, but all con ve nience func tions
(door locks, trunk release, etc.) will continue to work normally.
