3.4.2 Connecting EMMAX-1H Microphone to TFIX-x Ex Intercoms
Connect the wire ferrules on the Compact Microphone cable to the terminal block according to the
pin configuration below.

3.5 EBMDR-8 Expansion Module for ECPIR-3P
The EBMDR-8 Expansion Module is a slave unit to the ECPIR-3P. The EBMDR-8 hence receives
power from and communicates through its master, the ECPIR-3P.

Up to four EBMDR-8 modules may be daisy-chained to one ECPIR-3P
3.5.1 Connecting EBMDR-8 Expansion Module to ECPIR-3P Intercom

Using the small connection cable supplied, connect the EBMDR-8 expansion module to the
ECPIR-3P or preceding module as shown in the figure.

If more than one EBMDR-8 is connected to the same ECPIR-3P, these are daisy-chained
together.

Connect the white connector on the cable to the corresponding white connector on the ECPIR-
3P or preceding EBMDR-8.

Connect the black connector on the cable to the corresponding black connector on the
EBMDR-8.
