Quick User Guide
Before switching the KomfiTilt on
•
Put person onto the bed, ensure the head is centred.
•
Arrange pillows and supports as required
•
If using a profiling bed adjust back rest, knee break and height as required
•
If bed rails are required ensure they are up and covered so there is no entrapment risk
Switch the KomfiTilt ON
•
Press the black ON/OFF button , on the end of the pump box
•
When switched ON the red power light will appear also the Normal green light and the
•
Operational green light, the Normal light will go out and come on again once fully inflated.
•
The Normal light will stay illuminated unless pressure drops
•
If a cell comes detached or a tube pinched the alarm will sound, this can be reset by pushing the button
The KomfiTilt is working
•
The KomfiTilt will slowly and gently commence a balanced lateral motion.
•
Repositioning from one side to the other (without initiating a roll)
•
It is a 10
-
minute cycle from peak to peak
•
The movement is slow and continuous
Switching the KomfiTilt OFF
•
Press the black button OFF, on the end of the pump box
•
The air cells will auto
-
deflate over about 90 seconds
The KomfiTilt will stay flat
The KomfiTilt should always be switched OFF when:
•
carrying out Moving and Handling tasks (turning, manual repositioning)
•
Transferring in or out of bed.
Emergency e.g.
-
CPR
Press in the clips on the tube connectors & pull out
the tubes
(the air cells will deflate immediately.)
