Operating Instructions
Operating Modes: You can use the VK918 in 5 ways:

Sound activation – The unit will activated by sound.
●
Static display – The unit will display ONLY the chosen colour.
●
Auto Mode - The unit will automatically chase through different colours.
●
DMX control (WDMX 2.4ghz) mode - This function allows you to control the fixture with a DMX controller.
●
Phone app control (WIFI-control) – Control colour from an IOS or Android Device app.
Turning On Power to the Light
Press & Hold the
Menu
button for 3 seconds to power up the unit

button for 3 seconds to power off the unit - the LED display shows

to confirm power
down. When power is restored to the unit the battery charge status will be shown in the LED display as follows;
DMX Mode:
1. The VK918 uses 6 or 10 channels of DMX to operate. Please see the DMX Channel List below for channel properties.
2. To run your fixture in DMX mode, plug in the fixture via the XLR connections to any standard DMX controller .
3. Set your desired DMX address on the VK918 ie; A124 on the Led disply and 6Ch or 10Ch according to preference.
4. The unit automatically recognizes the DMX signal once the DMX connection is made.
Stand Alone Mode (StAt):
Under the VK918 menu option StAt the user can set a Stand alone colour for the unit to produce. Using

xxxx where xxx is value 0-255 you can set the brightness of colours Red, Green, Blue, Amber,
White, & UV respectively. These will be retained when the unit is powered down. Strobing is also set under this option
on the

xx menu option from 0 (no strobe) to 20 (fastest).
Auto Mode (Auto):
Under the VK918 menu option Auto the unit can be set to chase colours through a sequence of

There are 2 Wifi Modes selectable under the system menu option

- receiver for wireless DMX from a
2.4ghz transmitter, and

for control from IOS or Andriod device app.

: Ensure rF24 feature is set to
ON
and frequency of receiver (
FrEq
in system menu) in the light matches your
transmitter (1 to 7) & the unit will respond to Wireless DMX from your controller.
WiFi
: Under User Settings press ENTER choose
WiFi
mode press ENTER to confim, Wifi module will show up. Install
the app
”LedHome”
into your cellphone in IOS or Android. Find and get in touch with device named ”LED_XXX”
Remember both WiFi and rF24 modes consume more battery power and a shorter running time before cre-charging will apply.

Tips for charging the battery:
● After a
FULL
charge the battery can last for 6 hours with all LEDs on, & can last for
more than 12-14 hours on auto mode chasing through each colour, or up to 20 hours
with one colour on static. Results will vary based on brightness of LEDs
●
It
is suggested to charge the battery for at least 4 hours before use. This can be done
in the Charging Flight case or individually by plugging the light into a 13a socket directly.
For best battery life please remember to switch off
rF24
and

modes if not being used.
