Characters, or text not translated to braille will emboss as graphic images of the visual character if
'Emboss Standard Text' option is checked within the Tiger tab of the printing preferences.
C. Printing
Once the printer driver is installed and the printer properties are accessible, the next step would be
to print a document. These are the steps that you should follow to print:
Open the document to be printed for example in MS Word.
Open the program's File menu and choose Print.
On the Print dialog, make sure the VP Elite or Premier is selected. Click on the printer
properties button and ensure that the correct paper size and Tiger printing options are selected.
Click OK on the printer properties dialog when you are finished. Then click OK on the Print
dialog to start the print job.
If you are using form feed paper when the printer is finished, press the
up arrow button
to
advance the paper enough so you can detach it. Press the
down arrow button
after you have
detached the paper to move the paper to the ready position for the next print job.
In general, ViewPlus printers follow the principle "What you see is what you get" with a 20 dpi
resolution of the embossed representation, and colors converted to dot heights where darker colors
are embossed with higher dots (black = highest dot), and lighter colors are embossed with lower
dots (white = no dot).
