Quick Start Guide

CHARGE THE BATTERY
Slide the USB cover down. Connect the VIEVU

2

 to a computer or wall adapter (not included) using the USB 

cable. The Charging light is red while recharging. The light will turn green when charging is complete

STATUS LIGHT

Blinking Green

Camera is turning On.

Solid Green

Camera On. Camera is connected to a computer.

Solid Blue

Camera On. WiFi On. No smartphone connected. Camera is not Recording/
Streaming Video.

Slow Blink Blue

Camera On. WiFi On. Smartphone connected. Camera is not Recording/
Streaming Video.

Fast Blink Blue

Camera On. WiFi On. Smartphone connected. Recording/Streaming Video.

Fast Blink Red

Camera On. WiFi On. No Smartphone connected. Recording/Streaming 
Video.

Slow Blink White

Camera is installing firmware. Do not turn Off the camera.

RECORDING AND STREAMING VIDEO
Turn the camera On by pressing and holding the On/Off button. To start recording/streaming, simply slide 
down the record switch. The VIEVU

2

 will automatically record a high quality video internally and also stream 

video to a connected smartphone. To stop recording/streaming, slide the record switch back up.    

VIEVU APP
The VIEVU

®

 app can be used to interact with the VIEVU

2

 camera. It can be used to record the streaming video 

directly on the smartphone, change camera settings, transfer recorded video from the camera to the phone, 
trim a video’s length and monitor the camera’s battery life and storage capacity. To pair the app with the 
camera, simply connect the smartphone to the camera’s WiFi network and launch the VIEVU

®

 app. Additional

CAMERA WIFI NETWORK
The VIEVU

2

 camera will create a WiFi network for streaming video to a smartphone. The SSID is the cameras’ 

serial number. The WiFi network password default is: 1234567890.

FIRMWARE UPDATES
The camera firmware can be updated. Check www.vievu.com/support periodically for new updates.
