A
Changing the slope:
The gradient of the heating curve slopes changes.
B
Changing the level:
The heating curves are shifted in parallel in a verti-
cal direction.
C
Changing the standard room temperature (set
value):
The heating curves are offset along the "Set room
temperature" axis.
Note
Setting the slope or level too high or too low will not
cause any damage to your boiler or heating system.
Both settings affect the level of the flow temperature,
which may then be too low or unnecessarily high.
Heating circuit
A heating circuit or cooling circuit is a sealed circuit
between the boiler and consumer (radiator, for exam-
ple) through which heating water flows. Heating cir-
cuits can be named individually.
Central heating can be split over
several
heating cir-
cuits, if required.
The Vitotrol 350 enables up to
20 heating circuits
to
be controlled (
"Heating circuit 1"
,
"Heating circuit
2"
, etc.). Example: One heating circuit for your living
space and one heating circuit for a flat
Heating circuit pump
Circulation pump for circulating the heating water in
the heating circuit
Instantaneous heating water heater
See "Electric booster heater".
Heating water buffer cylinder
A heating water buffer cylinder stores thermal energy
for central heating. This safeguards the supply of all
connected heating circuits with heat even when the
boiler is inactive.
Mixer
A mixer mixes the heated heating water with the
cooled water returning from the heating circuit. The
water, thus brought to the right temperature, is pumped
to the heating circuit by the heating circuit pump. The
boiler control unit adjusts the heating circuit flow tem-
perature to various conditions by means of a mixer, for
example when the outside temperature changes.
Room temperature
■
Standard room temperature:
For periods when you will be at home during the day,
select the standard room temperature.
■
Reduced room temperature:
For periods of absence or during the night, set the
reduced room temperature; see also "Heating
mode".
