Information on burners and accessories

1.
Check that the fuel being used is permissible for
the current system configuration.

2.
Open the boiler door(s).

3.
Insert the turbulators into the hot gas flues as far
as they will go.

4.
Close the boiler door(s).

5.
Open the installation room vents.

6.
Fill the heating system with water and vent the
system.

Please note
Unsuitable boiler water may damage the
boiler system.
Use the correct water at all times.
See chapter "Standard values for water
quality"
Note
Document the fill volume and overall water hard-
ness.

Check the system pressure.

8.
Check all fitted components for function and leaks.

9.
Check the fuel supply pressure and ensure there
are no leaks.
10.
Open the flue gas gate valve and damper.
11.
Close the cleaning aperture on the flue outlet.
12.
Check the connection between the drain line and
the condensate connection.
13.
Open the shut-off valves in the oil lines at the tank
and filter, or open the gas shut-off valve.
14.
Start the system in the following order:
■
Mains isolator
■
Switches for all the equipment required for oper-
ating the boiler system
■
ON/OFF switch for the burner

Please note
Only adjust the burner at the end of these
instructions.
15.
Start the system at a low heating output (max. 30
%).
16.
Open the condensate drain on the boiler.
17.
Heat up the system to a temperature 20 K below
the operating temperature.
18.
Collect and remove the condensate correctly.
19.
As soon as the required flow temperature is
reached, open valves in the following sequence:
■
Boiler return valve
■
Feedwater valve (if required)
■
Boiler flow valve (open slowly)
20.
Close the condensate drain on the boiler.
21.
Enable full burner load.
22.
During heat-up:
■
Monitor the function of the control and safety
equipment.
■
Monitor the pressure and temperature.
■
Fill in the start-up report.
23.
Check the closures for leaks and tighten if neces-
sary (see table on page 21).
24.
After approx. 50 hours run, check the following
assemblies for leaks:
■
Boiler door(s)
■
Closures for the inspection port (tighten screws
if necessary)
