Audio out
The external and internal audio out sockets only work when pin 5 of the S-Video input is
connected (see below). The 3.5 mm jack can be connected to an amplifier, powered speakers,
or personal stereo headphones.
Composite and S-Video in
Captivator PCI accepts video in composite and S-Video format in the NTSC, PAL or SECAM
video standard. Only one of the inputs can be used at one time.
The phono composite video socket only accepts composite video – no S-Video or audio.
The 8 pin mini-DIN socket accepts S-Video or composite video, and comes with an 8-pin to
4-pin adapter. To get audio output through the internal or external audio out sockets when
using the 8-pin socket, you must have pin 5 connected. The pin-outs for the 8-pin socket on
the card are as follows:
