To set the trigger condition in the hardware, press the
Apply
button.
You can set conditions for each state. See the specific examples in this section for information on
how these conditions are used with the different triggering options.
Time-out Value
You can use the
Timeout
template in the
Available Templates Browser
when
defining transitions
in a configuration to set a time-out value when waiting for an event. If the time-out value is
enabled when waiting for an event, the analyzer will trigger if the conditions set for the event are
met or if the timeout value is reached.
Note:
The interface for the
Available Templates Browser
and the
Template Editor
are the
same for the Capture Filter Editor and Transition Editor in Xgig TraceControl as well as for
the search and find operations within the Xgig TraceView program.
Note:
If you define states whose conditions could be met too close together in time on
different ports, you may capture unwanted events. For example, avoid the use of general
conditions such as “any primitive” where it would cause one condition to be satisfied
immediately after another.
