Getting started
Connecting fiber connectors and transceiver modules
Connecting a QSFP or CFP transceiver module with MT ferrule
Step 1 Mount the FMAG-QSFP adapter onto the FVAm microscope.
Step 2 Clean the MT ferrule in the transceiver module.
Step 3 Ensure that the MT ferrule is aligned with the alignment key on the adapter.
Important:
If the transceiver module is equipped with a pull tab, orient the module so that the end of the pull
tab is aligned with the alignment key. The adapter and microscope are designed to accommodate the
pull tab so that it does not interfere with Pass/Fail testing.
Step 4 Insert the module straight into the adapter until it engages.
Step 5 Set the adapter to the required position (PC or APC).

handling pluggable transceivers.
