connected to the test set’s GNSS Antenna.
If the GNSS Antenna is powered by an external power source,
turn
Antenna Power OFF
.
If the GNSS Antenna is not powered by an external power
source, turn
Antenna Power ON
.
Fix Type
Selects how the test set acquires a position fix with satellites to
acquire a satellite link.
2D Mode
A 2D (two dimensional) position fix that includes only
horizontal coordinates.
2D Mode
requires a minimum of
three visible satellites.
3D Mode
A 3D (three dimensional) position fix that includes horizontal
coordinates plus altitude.
3D Mode
requires a minimum of
four visible satellites.
Any
Calculates a 3D position fix if possible, but reverts to 2D
position if necessary.
GNSS
This turns GNSS function ON and OFF.
When GNSS is turned ON, the GNSS Indicator is displayed in
the
Device Toolbar.
GNSS System
Selects the type or combination of types of GNSS systems to
which the test set is being connected. The type of GNSS
system selected should be supported in the region where you
intend to conduct testing.
To use Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS), select
the option that provides SBAS (i.e.,
system name
+ SBAS. For
example, GPS + SBAS).
Survey Mode
Dynamic
Continuously calculates positioning for continuous location
information.
Auto
Calculates positioning until accurate location information is
determined. Switches to fixed position using accurate
location information and switches to determine timing
accuracy.
