PW
Power On / Off and External Suspend Switch Connector
Note: The power button on the front panel will be connected to
the PW connector here. Different CMOS setup or different
type of power supply is connected to the mainboard, the
PW button will have different function as following:
5-a. When this mainboard has the ATX power supply connected, According to the
setup in CMOS, the PW connector has different functions. It can be the Power
Switch or Suspend Switch of your PC system.(please refer to Section- 4.7 for
BIOS setup)

If the setup in CMOS is “Delay 4 Sec.”, the switch function will be
:
A.
When system is power OFF:
A short click on this switch, the system will be powered on.
B.
When system power is ON :
a. The system is in Full-ON mode :
a-1. Click on this switch ( less than 4 seconds ), the system will be
turned into Suspend mode. (get into a GREEN mode)
a-2. Press and hold this switch for more than 4 seconds, the system
will be powered off.
b. When the system is in Suspend mode :
b-1. Click on this switch ( less than 4 seconds ), the system will
return to Full-ON mode.
b-2. Press and hold this switch more than 4 seconds, the system will
be powered off.
Note:
When AT type power supply is connected to the mainboard, you may not have to
connect the PW switch to the chassis of your PC system. There is the power
switch on the front panel and it will be connected to the power supply so that you
can use it to power on or power off the PC system.
