Malfunctions
If the battery charger does not work it will usually indicate what
is wrong:
LED ‘ON’ off.
Battery charger not connected.
Switch battery charger on.
No mains voltage (quayside voltage).
- Check mains voltage! If it is ok, con-
tact service department!
- Fuse in mains connection defect,
replace fuse.
Short circuiting or overloading of the bat-
tery charger.
Resolve the short circuiting or overload-
ing.
Mains voltage too low.
Restore bad connections or use mains
cable with larger cable diameter.
LED printed circuit board connection bro-
ken.
Restore connection.
LED ‘ON’ flashing.
Batteries not connected or wrongly con-
nected.
Check the connections of the charging
current cables and the polarity terminals
of the battery.
LED ‘TEMP’ on, as a result of the battery
charger being at too high a temperature.
Extremely high environmental tempera-
ture.
Allow the battery charger to cool down.
Temperature sensor not connected or
bad connection between battery charger
and temperature sensor. *)
Connect a temperature sensor or restore
the bad connections
Battery charger is set up near to a heat
source.
Set up elsewhere.
Defect in the battery charger, e.g. a
defect ventilator.
Have the battery charger repaired.
Ventilation openings are blocked.
Free up the ventilation openings.
Battery charger is set up in a badly venti-
lated area.
Set up elsewhere.
LED ‘FUSE’ on.
Charging current fuse defect.
Replace the charging current fuse.
Battery connections with reverse polarity.
Connect the PLUS and the MINUS cor-
rectly.
Incorrect charging current fuse.
Replace with the correct fuse.
Current charging fuse does not connect
properly in the fuse holder.
Restore the connection fuse-holder.
Battery voltage too high.
Load the battery to lower the battery volt-
age.
Temperature sensor short circuited. *)
Connect the temperature sensor proper-
ly.

Incorrect setting of the battery charger.
Check and amend the setting.
Mains On/Off switch is off.
