2. PREPARATION FOR USE
2.1. Transport
The equipment must be kept upright at all times and handled with care. Damage may be caused if it
is dropped or subjected to severe impact. When moving the equipment with a forklift, secure it against
tilting.
2.2. Delivery and storage
The goods have been checked thoroughly before shipment. On receipt, check the packaging and
make sure the contents are undamaged. Any damage or missing parts must be reported to the
supplier within 8 days of delivery.
If you do not plan to use the UPS within seven days of delivery, be sure to store it under the conditions
that meet product standard.
• If the batteries or the equipment are to be stored, they must be kept in a clean, dry environment
and away from extreme temperatures.
2.3. Unpacking and unloading the cabinets from the pallet
The utmost care must be taken when removing the packaging to prevent damage to the equipment.
Check all packaging materials to ensure that no important items are discarded. Once the packaging
has been removed, the UPS must be taken off the pallet by removing the screws as illustrated in Fig.
1 or by removing the L profile as illustrated in Fig. 2, and lifting the unit off using a fork lift (UNI EN
