Thermal Runaway Alarm Connection
The Thermal Runaway Alarm Form C contact provides notification if a thermal runaway is detected. This
contact has three connections:
•
NC (normally closed)
•
NO (normally open)
•
COM (common)
Connection can be made directly to the facility's alarm reporting system. If multiple units are used, then
these contacts can be connected in series or parallel, depending on the requirements for the facility's
wiring of NC (normally closed)or NO (normally open). These contacts are used to disconnect or isolate
the charger from the string when a thermal runaway is detected.
