T1/E1 module alarm indicators
The T1 module with serial interface and E1 EuroISDN module with serial interface have
additional alarm indicators, one set for the T1/E1 port and one set for the serial port, located to
the left of the module status LEDs. See “Alarm indicators” in Chapter 15 in the
Wave Hardware
Reference Guide
for more information.
About connecting modules
This section provides general information about connecting trunks, stations, and other devices
to modules. Instructions for connecting specific modules are described in subsequent sections.
Important:
Before connecting modules, ensure that the following tasks have been completed,
depending on your configuration:
•
The punchdown block or patch panel has been properly wired.
•
Analog and T1 trunks have been installed by your service provider.
•
Incoming analog DID trunks have been tested to ensure no voltage is present, as well as
to verify that they are DID trunks.
