4.3.2 FUME PIPE CONNECTION
We recommend the use of a double wall system for the chimney connection.
•
In interior spaces, through the use of a double-walled chimney system,
combustion gases can be exhausted to the outside, at the same time that fresh
air is provided inside. Outside, double wall pipes should be used for the chimney.
•
In interior spaces, by using a double-wall insulated chimney system, combustion
gases can escape outside. In this case, you can provide fresh air using an
additional pipe and elbow.
•
To provide fresh air easily, a vent close to where the stove is installed should be
used.
•
The chimney or double wall insulated chimney must be at least 80 cm and higher
than the highest point of the house, respecting the distances required by current
legislation.
