Rack front
Use the list in Table A-1 to check items visible from the front of the rack.

Requirements for hardware accessible from the front of the rack

Verify that the appliance is secured in the rack, on top of any storage
shelves.
For the NetBackup 5230 Appliance:

Verify that the two disk drives in slots 0 and 1 in the front panel are
installed securely.
■
Verify that the eight storage disks, in slots 4 to 11, are installed securely.
Verify that the Veritas Storage Shelves, if used with the appliance, are
securely installed. All shelves should be installed beneath the appliance to
prevent the rack from tipping.
Rack rear
Use the list in Table A-2 to assure that all components visible from the back of the
rack are installed correctly.
