Note: The S2600e-AS and S2610e-AS may heat more than a device

without analytics capabilities (S2600e and S2610e).

1.

Remove the cap in front of the camera.

2.

Check that the locking screw is fastened.

3.

For a C-mount lens, install a C-to-CS adaptor (not supplied by Verint
Video Intelligence Solutions) on the front of the camera.

4.

Screw the lens on the back focus ring in the front of the camera. The
lens and the back focus ring should turn as one unit when the locking
screw is loosened.

5.

If you are using an auto iris lens, insert the auto iris plug into the
adaptor on the back of the camera.

6.

Connect the camera to the network and power it.

7.

View video, then adjust the focus on the lens. To view video, either
plug an analog monitor into the video output connector on the back of
the camera, or use a laptop computer to access the web interface.

8.

If you were able to do the focus with the adjustment on the lens, go to
step 14. Otherwise, execute step 9 to step 13.

9.

For an auto-iris lens, reduce the ambient lighting until the lens is
opened to its maximum.

10.

For a manual iris lens, open it to its maximum. If the monitor is too
bright, reduce the ambient lighting.

11.

If the location does not allow the reduction of ambient light, hold a
neutral density filter against the front of the lens.

12.

If the camera has a fixed focal length lens:

a.

Set the physical focus of the lens to the middle of its range.

b.

Aim the camera at an object in the area of interest.

c.
